Intro.
This project brought a new product to life for sales representatives through interactive learning. As the instructional designer and e-learning developer, I designed and developed a course with custom interactions and scenarios that enabled learners to understand product functionality, analyze customer personas, and apply their knowledge across real-world use cases. The experience moved beyond feature-based training to support more confident, effective customer conversations.
Big Question.
How can interactive learning help sales representatives understand a new product and confidently apply its story in customer conversations?
Challenges.
Establishing a consistent product story. Before designing the learning experience, I needed to understand the product marketing narrative myself to ensure the course reinforced a clear, consistent message across all interactions and scenarios.
Structuring complex marketing content for learning. Product marketing materials included messaging, personas, and use cases, but transforming that into an effective learning experience required thoughtful decisions around sequencing, emphasis, and instructional approach. I designed and developed the content end-to-end, including graphics, videos, and custom interactions.
Building custom interactions in a new tool. To support the learning goals, I designed bite-sized, custom interactions while maintaining a high-quality learner experience.
Approach.
I followed the ADDIE instructional design model to guide the project from concept to launch:
Analysis: Collaborated with product marketing and sales stakeholders to understand the product, target audience, and learning goals.
Design: Mapped out the course structure, including learning objectives, story flow, personas, use cases, and interactive elements.
Development: Built the course, videos, graphics, and custom interactions, iterating to balance instructional goals with technical feasibility.
Implementation: Launched the course to sales representatives and ensured accessibility and usability across devices.
Evaluation: Gathered feedback from learners and stakeholders through a survey to assess understanding, engagement, and alignment with product messaging, informing future improvements.

Due to confidentiality, I’m unable to share the full course. This sample highlights how I design bite-sized learning experiences that make complex concepts easier to understand and apply. It includes initial sketches and concept exploration, along with the custom interaction I created using Articulate Storyline. In this example, I transformed static content into an interactive experience that showcases key product use cases.
